Senator Moye Giving Back to Bong County
While fulfilling his legislative responsibilities during hearings for the revenue component of the Draft 2025 National Budget, Senator Prince Kermue Moye, Sr. reaffirmed his commitment to the people of Bong County by extending a helping hand to various communities. Demonstrating his dedication to addressing pressing local challenges, Senator Moye dispatched his team to Bong County to deliver impactful donations on his behalf.
One of the highlights of this initiative was the donation of a Hyundai SUV vehicle to the Bong County Christian Association (BOCA). This vehicle will serve as a critical resource in supporting BOCA’s logistical operations, enabling the association to carry out its mission more effectively. In addition, the Senator’s team presented a financial contribution of US$500 to help revamp BOCA’s office facility, ensuring the organization has a functional and comfortable workspace to continue its important work.
Senator Moye’s generosity extended to the Muslim community of Bong County as well. Recognizing the logistical challenges they face, a Toyota Tacoma pickup truck was donated to support their transportation needs. This gesture reflects the Senator’s inclusive approach to development, ensuring that all religious and community groups benefit from his leadership.
In a further show of support for the county’s economic activities, Senator Moye provided LRD 600,000 to marketers who had responded to his call to relocate from the Bye-Pass section to the Gbarnga Central Market and the Sunday Market. This relocation effort, carried out in collaboration with local authorities, is aimed at improving organization, accessibility, and economic growth in the region. The financial assistance will help these dedicated marketers establish themselves in their new locations and enhance their livelihoods.
Speaking about his ongoing efforts, Senator Moye reaffirmed his commitment to working with all residents of Bong County. “We will remain committed to working with all of our people in identifying and responding to some of their most pressing needs as we forge forward with the development of our county,” he stated.
